NEEDLE SCAFFOLDING

NEEDLE SCAFFOLDING or cantilever scaffolding is required in the following cases:

• When it is not possible to fix the standard in the ground.
• When a busy street is constructed along the side.
• When the construction work is done at a very high level in the case of a long building.

Instead of fixing the standard in the ground, in this type of scaffold, it is placed at some height above ground level. The platforms that stand on are called needles.
